Tenant

At PropOp we recognise that rented accommodation during your stay is more than that.  Whilst you are staying in the property this is your home and we know you will treat it as such by taking good care of it on behalf of the landlord. In return, we will ensure the property remains safe, secure, comfortable, and compliant at all times.

 Premium Service

We recognise there is often a need for assistance out-with the usual service requirements. We are more than happy to do that little bit extra if this helps remove stress or prevent an unnecessary headache.

For instance, if you require a quick shop to provide essentials for a late evening move in then we can arrange.  Some of the possible requirements that are covered under our premium service are listed below:

  • House sitting if you are awaiting a delivery or contractor attendance.

  • Routine or one off cleans during your lease, including laundry service

  • Guaranteed Clean prior to your move out date can be scheduled to ensure you get your full deposit back.

  • Removal services at the end of your tenancy can also all be provided with the relevant notice given.

If you have any requests that are not listed, then please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to help.

 Tenants FAQsο»Ώ

What information do I require to rent a PropOp property?

All tenants of PropOp will require to complete our straight forward online application form.  We will also require two forms of photo ID, reference contact details (ideally a previous landlord) and confirmation of affordability of rent payment.  A guarantor option is available if required.

What approved scheme will you use to hold secure my deposit during my tenancy?

PropOp have an account with Safe Deposit Scotland. As our preferred scheme all deposits for our tenancies will be registered accordingly SDS ensuring full compliance with the regulatory requirements.  Confirmation will be provided to tenants of this at the time of registration.

Will I be provided with a copy of an Inventory for my property?

Yes, we will always provide an extensive inventory record for your property.  This will be available to you at time of collecting keys and moving into your new home.  We would ask that this is reviewed by you to ensure no discrepancies are present or to make any additions you feel are necessary.  This helps protect both you, as our tenants and also our landlords for when the time of your deposit return is due.

How do I contact PropOp if I require help?

At PropOp we provide you with one point of contact throughout your whole tenant experience with us.  This is designed to make things run as easy as possible, whilst also providing you reassurance that you know who exactly who is looking after you.  We feel this also helps strengthen relationships and remove the whole Agent vs Tenant feel.

How do I arrange a repair?

We have a list of approved contractors that will provide a responsive and efficient service.  Simply contact your point of contact at PropOp and let us take care of the rest.  We will keep you updated when a contractor is due to attend and make sure access arrangements are confirmed by you.

In the rare event you require emergency assistance we recommend contacting the appropriate emergency service directly to minimise any delay.
